Victoria Belo (born January 25, 1956) is a Filipina doctor, entrepreneur, and media personality.

Early life and education

Victoria G. Belo was born on January 25, 1956, in Cebu, Philippines. She was adopted by the family of attorney Enrique Belo. Vicki spent her formative years in Manila.

Belo received a degree in psychology from the University of the Philippines. She pursued a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Santo Tomas. She further obtained her Dermatology Diploma from the Institute of Dermatology in Bangkok, Thailand.

Career

Belo began her medical practice in 1990.[citation needed]

Alongside this work, she is also a frequent speaker and guest lecturer in organizations in the Philippines and internationally, such as the International Society of Cosmetic Laser Surgeons in Washington, D.C.; the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery in Portland, Oregon; and the World Congress on Liposuction Surgery in Pasadena, California.[1]

Belo is a member of the following organizations: American Society of Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS), American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M), International Society of Cosmetic Laser Surgeons (ISCLS), International Society of Dermatologic Surgery (ISDS), and Philippine Society of Liposuction Surgery.[citation needed]

Belo Medical Group

Belo is the CEO and medical director of the Belo Medical Group, which owns and operates 15 medical clinics and surgicenters in the Philippines, in Metro Manila, Cebu City, Pampanga, and Davao City. The Belo Medical Group is the first accredited ambulatory cosmetic surgi-centre in the Philippines, certified by the Philippine Department of Health (DOH) and endorsed by the Philippine Department of Tourism (DOT).[2]

In July 2024, the Court of Appeals' Special Fourth Division's 35-page Decision held that the Belo Medical Group is guilty of constructive dismissal and directed the company to pay a former employee, Marie Angelie Macatual, P3 million in back wages.[3]

  • 2014: Vicki Belo won the ASEAN Business Awards Philippines (SME Category) by the ASEAN Business Council.[6]
  • 2015: Belo was awarded the World Picosure Award for achieving one million pulses in a single machine in one month.[7]
  • 2016: Belo received the Black Diamond Award as the Top expert for Thermage and Fraxel in the Philippines for 10 consecutive years.[8]
  • 2017: She was awarded the Top User of the World award for Hydrafacial treatment.[9]
  • 2019: The Belo Medical Group was chosen as the Center for Excellence for Botox and Fillers in the Singapore-Malaysia-Philippines region by Juvederm.[10]
  • 2022: On January 25, Dr. Vicki Belo and the Belo Medical Group were awarded the "Beauty Industry Pioneer of the Year Award 2021" at the Global Health & Pharma’s Healthcare & Pharmaceutical (GHP) Awards.[11]
  • 2022: Dr. Vicki Belo received the Diamond Award at "The Future of Aesthetics" by Allergan Aesthetics on September 21.[12][13]

Belo was married to businessman and NU 107 founder Atom Henares, but the couple divorced[when?]. They had two children: Quark Henares, film and music video director, and Cristalle Henares-Pitt, managing director of Belo Essentials.[14]Quark is married to Bianca Yuzon. Cristalle married Australian hotelier Justin Pitt in Villa Erba, Lake Como, Italy on September 15, 2016. The couple have 2 children, Hunter and Sienna.[15]In February 2018, Bello attended Henares and Swiss Nathalie Küpfer outdoor Tagaytay wedding.[16][17]

Florencia "Nena" Singson Gonzalez-Belo

Bello is the adopted daughter of former Philippine Congressman and 1971 Philippine Constitutional Convention delegate Enrique Belo who married Florencia "Nena" Singson Gonzalez-Belo (September 29, 1927-May 11, 2016). Bello's biological parents are Conchita Gonzalez and Agustin “Toy” Cancio.

She married Hayden Kho in Paris in 2017.[18] The couple had a daughter, Scarlet Snow, born on March 3, 2015.[19][20]

In 2018, the National Museum of the Philippines officially identified Fernando Amorsolo's last known painting of an unfinished creative work of the late Florencia "Nena" Singson Gonzalez-Belo, mother of Bello. It was donated by Amorsolo's widow, Maria del Carmen Amorsolo as confirmed in 2016 by Judy Araneta Roxas. Bello further affirmed that her mother's 5 sisters had Amorsolo paintings. The painting stood at the National Museum of the Philippines' Gallery VI since 2015.[21]
